As a public authority, the AOA is committed to openness, transparency and compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (“FOI Act”). The FOI Act gives the public a right of access to all types of records held by public authorities, but also sets out some exemptions from that right.
A copy of the law can be found here: [Freedom of Information Act]
Each public authority covered by the FOI Law has a legal duty to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. The main purpose of a publication scheme is to make information readily available without the need for specific written requests. Schemes are intended to encourage organisations to publish proactively, and develop a greater culture of openness.
The AOA's publication scheme can be found here: [AOA Publication Scheme 2014]
An explanation of how to make a request for information can be found here: [Making an FOI request]
Before you make a request, please check our Publication Scheme and disclosure log to see if the information you would like is already available.
The Publication Scheme can be found here: [AOA Publication Scheme 2014]
The disclosure log can be found here: [AOA disclosure log]
