Michael Austin served as Chairman of the AOA since its inception in 2012, retiring on 3 May 2022. During his stewardship, the AOA operations were established, a programme of on-site inspections was introduced and the AOA became a full member of the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators.
The Board is very grateful for his contribution over the years.
Until a formal replacement is appointed, Alister Mason, the present Deputy Chairman and a director since 2012, will serve as Chairman.
